Red Kite riot and distant Ring-necked
I managed to find the handsome drake Ring-necked Duck today at Milton Loch, near Dumfries, and had great views through the telescope, but the Tufties around it were wary and any close approach I made simply pushed the flock further away. I decided to photograph something a little easier and the feeding station near Laurieston seemed like a good bet. Red Kites were numerous here as they always are, but getting that perfect shot is never easy and is largely down to luck.
