33 degrees C & glorious birds galore

We were back in The Gambia, and 3 days up river - at the right time of year - enabled me to catch up with some birds I missed last time, amongst them the beautiful Egyptian Plover, the graceful and elusive Black-crowned Crane and the simply spectacular Exclamatory Paradise Whydah, as well as an old favourite: Bearded Barbet. These key target lifers (9 in total) in 33 degrees C a few days before Christmas made for a perfect combination. (Still no Finfoot, though!)
