Snow White times two
Having dipped on the Snow Buntings at Grune Point a few weeks back, I made for Wolsty today where the same three birds (presumably) had been relocated. This time luck was on my side, and with nobody else around I set about trying to get the best images I could of these confiding creatures. Further down the coast I couldn't find the Bittern at Siddick Pond and had to settle for 5 Whooper Swans and about 10 Goosander, whilst inland at Derwent Water I was quick to spot the returning drake Smew, but the poor light and choppy water made photography hard. Still, I was pleased to get record shots, and also spotted an Otter casually swimming across the middle of the lake!
