Osprey up river and adult Little Stint nearby

Having done the rounds in search of finding rare waders (and having failed miserably!), my spirits were lifted on the way home when I noticed a large raptor coming towards me over the adjacent river. The bowed wings told me immediately that this was no Buzzard and as it banked, the tell-tale pied plumage could mean only one thing: Osprey! I got some decent images as the bird came towards me but it was accompanied by torrential rain, which brought my photo session to an abrupt end, sadly.

An even rarer find for me was an adult Little Stint a few days earlier. Sadly I could not relocate it today and have had to settle for record shots only. Tried to turn it into a Semipalmated Sandpiper but not 'dumpy' enough, not 'bull-necked' enough, apparently... Hey ho!
