Borders Black Grouse & Grey Wags

An early morning trip up north and across the border reaped rewards in the form of 4 Black Grouse strutting their stuff on the frost-covered moorland. Down by the river, Dippers whizzed past as Grey Wagtails posed on polished rocks and glorious Goosanders in bright sunshine made light of the rapids, all overseen by a Greenfinch from its treetop perch. Back at home, Tree Sparrows were out in force and basked in the spring warmth. All these beauties were of course oblivious to the COVID-19 virus that had spread like wildfire and brought the human population to a standstill.
