More Waxwings - in better light!

A second (or more likely the same) group of these stunning birds appeared in Carlisle city centre, and these proved easier to photograph - given the sheer number of them and the attractive orange-brick background. Looking back through the shots, I think I could have done better - by increasing the ISO and depth of field - but I was still pretty chuffed with some of these. I counted 58 in total, my best haul to date, and whilst they perched high up in the canopy of a tall tree for much of the time, they would, typically, fly down to the berry tree below and would then feed voraciously. The sound, as ever, was as memorable as the images through the view-finder.
