Third time lucky with Waxwings

Having tried once already for these little gems in Cumbria - and failed, I drove to Brampton where they had also been reported. Annoying the birds had gone by the time I arrived. But whilst stopping for fuel on the way back home in Carlisle, I checked Birdguides and the Waxwings had reappeared! So, for the third time, I now set off in pursuit and this time connected - at last! It was well worth the effort. The four of them perched openly at the top of a birch tree and then would obligingly fly down to the nearby berry bushes and feed in bright sunshine - delightful! These beauties always are...
